Yes - she made sure to include that qualifier in her statement.

I didn't come away with that impression at all. Matt Lauer and Trump have tangled many times on-air, and Trump has become very good at handling the media when pressed hard. The problem for someone like Lauer is limited time, and Trump has become a slippery target who understands how to waste on-air time and limit damaging questions. If Lauer had spent time fact checking Trump he wouldn't have had the time to ask more than two questions.

Sometimes you just have to ask the question and move on and let the rest of the MSM do mop-up. This time though the MSM is all caught up in protecting Hillary and accusing Lauer of all sorts of motives. Which is hilarious. NBC probably doesn't have a bigger liberal in their lineup, it's wonderful watching libs eat one of their own darlings.

It's shameful she ignores the Americans who did die at the hands of terrorists and her lying about it to the victims' families and the American people, blaming it on an internet video.

That's the context I'm concerned about.

Well she had to make that distinction to avoid talking about the Benghazi disaster and then explaining why she lied about it and covered it up.

She was basically polishing a turd. No matter how much you try, it's still a turd.

A sociopath never takes personal responsibility for their actions, it is always not their fault. Hillary lives by "deflect and/or lie".

She is just hateful over this. What a horrible person.

That's a load of crap.

Lauer could have put Trump away multiple times and didn't. Donnie said plenty of dumb and contradictory things last night, but Lauer moved onto the next question. If it wasn't at least somewhat purposeful, than Lauer deserves the criticism.

This is actually excellent from last fall and includes a video:

Brutal new anti-Hillary ad shows why Benghazi panel matters | On Air Videos | Fox News

That she minimizes this............

You don't "put away" a presidential candidate. That doesn’t even make sense. Did Lauer call out Hillary for her lies? Did he "put her away"? You ask the question and move on.

What libs were hoping for was Lauer to pamper their darling Hillary while savaging Trump. It didn't happen and they are in an uproar this morning. Usually it's the GOP going after Lauer, it's entertaining watching libs go after one of their own. It's Roman Coliseum let the lions loose kind of nasty. It's great fun for those of us on the right.
