A Hillary landslide is NOT going to convince Trump voters that establishment Republicans like you are the answer. They have voted for those candidates for years and were lied to each time.
Trump is a repudiation of establishment Republicans, pure and simple. Losing a blowout to Hillary will not matter. These people are beyond party labels at this point.

Barack Obama literally destroyed the Democratic party, starting with the 2014 mid-terms. And try as he might, he couldn't resurrect the faded glory that is Madame Metamucil, even as he campaigned tirelessly for her in the last two months.
This election was a repudiation alright -- a repudiation of the incompetence of Barack Obama, and the establishment entitlement of the corrupt career politician known as Hillary Clinton.
Their campaigns were doomed before they even got to their conventions because they had to skew so far off into the weeds just to survive the primaries that pivoting to center became very difficult once they won the nomination. They had to lug around all the stupid things they were required to say just to mollify the crazies on the far right and stay in the race.
I suspect we will see a different primary system put in place by the GOP in 2020, one that will marginalize all the RWNJs. And that will be of great benefit to the entire country, both left and right. They need to do something to ensure that another unhinged, know-nothing narcissist like Donald Trump never makes it to the top of their ticket again.
