Exactly...a lot of those jabs were directed at the media (aka as Dems propaganda dept.), the political elites, the crooked, lying, haters of the Deplorables. The basket of redneck deplorables clinging to their guns and religion are all applauding.

I missed that. Going to have to go check that out. Would not surprise me, it fits the Trump mindset.

Sick of Hillary and others claiming we are a nation of immigrants and pointing to the Statue of Liberty as if we are obligated to embrace illegal immigration, refugees and legal immigrants in unlimited numbers. For one thing we are no longer a nation of immigrants we are a nation of mostly citizens today. Time to shed that stupid label and some poem on a statue does not negate common sense nor our immigration laws in place today.

That is amazing. From that Stern interview (see the link to the credited source above):

STERN: Now getting back to dating, and when you got to say to a woman, you gotta go to my personal doctor and I’m gonna have you checked out, is that a tough thing to say to a woman?
TRUMP: It’s amazing, I can’t even believe it. I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. It’s like Vietnam, sort of.
STERN: Hey it’s your personal Vietnam isn’t it?
TRUMP: It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier!

This is a perfect insight into the cheap and sordid mind of Donald Trump. In his thinking there is nothing sacred, even the memory of the soldiers that gave their lives in Vietnam are only good for a joke. He brags that it's a great accomplishment that he managed to sleep around with a lot of different women, and not get an STD because he had them "checked out". The more you learn about this guy, the more disgusting he gets. Not surprising that he couldn't class it up for even one night at the Al Smith dinner.

Some of the 'jokes' or barbs, by both, seem to be rather poor. Wouldn't these two have had some professional writers? People whom understood the purpose of the evening?

Since when is a Catholic charity dinner a den of liberals? In your dim reality you probably think that this anti Trump dinner was followed by a workshop in Sodomy and late term abortions, hosted by the liberal Catholic Church.

That was HORRIBLE! He got booed which has never happened. Who were his joke writers? They didn't help him at all on some of these.

Can't say either one of these two is any kind of comedian. Obama IS funny.

I'm pretty sure Trump used his regular writers for the dinner - most of his speech sounded like his usual stump speeches in front of the Deplorables.

She knew that if all the emails were subject to FOIA requests, her campaign to be potus would be over before it began. So she bought her own server so no one else could view the emails she was creating.
Then she took the documents that belonged to the American people and destroyed them.
Hillary then had the unmitigated gall and arrogance to lie to the American public in the UN press conference (and many times since), and it has all been proved to be flat out lies. How, by the very emails she attempted to destroy!

Say what you will about Trump, and a decent amount I will likely agree with you on. However being crass, rude, and thin skinned is hardly comparable to everything Hillary has done while in public office.
Can't you see that?

being as downright stupid as he is, is far worse

Yeah-I'd like to go back and watch some of the former speakers at this event, including Obama.

I thought Clinton was more "at home" and natural with her humor-I actually started to like her a tad LOL she was a good sport to sit there and find humor in herself and the election.

I thought Trump was doing pretty well at first-funny, even tame-then it got to be like any other political attack speech he does. I guess gotta give him credit for never compromising his style or opinions.
