Here is a scarier question, if McCain doesn't croak, who will be in charge? Assuming, that is, we endure another case of voter fraud such that he actually wins.

Ahhhh, the Land of Fruits and Nuts, still out there.
Here's a scary thought. It is rare for many in positions of pressure to live past the age of 75. If McCain dies after he is elected, whomever he appoints as V.P. could well be the next Pres.
Thank you for including in your post the succession process, I don't think everyone read your initial post prior to responding. So you are asking and saying we know would succeed Obama but we are still not knowing about McCain and would we want them to be president.

Karl Rove will still be in charge...why would anything change?
Don't discount genetics. McCain's mother still alive and kicking, so chances are he will live long.
Anyway, in the event something happens with McCain, I would like to see Jindal, but he is very young and has said he is happy where he is, as LA governor. But most likely it will be Romney. He had an extra "twinkle" in his eye last night, so could be he knows already who is the McCain VP pick.

I like Jindal and Romney and in the future would love to see them both run together. That would be a great ticket and return the party to where it should be.
