I am a Republican, and I will give you my reasons I don't like Sara Palin:
1. She was chosen for her appeal to the Clinton voter more than anything.
2. Her experience consists of running a town of less than 10,000 people where the average citizen has a 10th grade education. And....
3. She is governor of a state that is not really in touch with the rest of the United States.
4. McCain is older, and his health is an issue. If McCain wins, passes away and Palin is president, she will be eaten alive by the world.
5. She is hypocritical on many issues, including birth control and family planning.
6. I am the type of Republican that wants religion out of government. Having a person who is in a church as conservative as hers bothers me.
7. She used money that should have been used towards Alaska's abysmal education system for other less important issues.
And don't even bother telling me "Well Obama, this that and the other." I am not an Obama supporter.
I do not support palin because of her stance on issues
I do not support drilling offshore as a solution to energy needs.. the fact of the matter is.. those oil reserves do not go into some secret american stockpile.. they are sold on the open market.. so these companies can drill for oil all they want, but if the chinese out-bid american companies for the oil.. guess who gets the benefit? the oil company and the chinese...
Second.. I don't agree with her stance on social issues.. I think she's a religious nutcase
and Third, I don't agree with how she is being used in this election.
I'm sure she is a wonderful person face to face.. but as much as I credit a woman being considered for office, I know that if obama had chosen hillary.. Palin would not even be where she is today.. It really is disgusting.... McCain will do anything to win.. hell he's old as dirt.. what has he got to lose? he just wants to win... only bad thing is.. if he kicks the bucket while in office.. this lady will be our president, and because of her stance on issues.. I just can't agree with it.
Democrats...I'm just curious...what is the REAL reason you don't like Sara Palin as John McCain's pick for VP? Is is because she is a Republican, or are you somehow really upset that Obama treated Hillary so badly by not choosing her to run with him as his VP choice? And please don't say it's because she is inexperienced...she isn't running for President!
It is pretty obviously why liberals hate Sarah. She is everything they are not, or ever will be: self-reliant, independent, intelligent, a good sense of humor, and doesn't need government handouts to provide for her family.

Except the per diem she collects to stay in her own home.
I don't hate or even dislike her, but there are a lot of people I don't hate/dislike who I think have no business being president.
I'm of the mind that Obama has no business being president, but after watching him face up to an interviewer (Bill O'Reilly - remember, this is a guy who made an offhand "lynching" comment about the Obamas) that isn't going to ask him softball questions and talk policy - my respect is going up.
Abraham Lincoln served in the Illinois legislature and only did two years in the US Senate before becoming president.
Experience is overrated.
Dubya was the son of a VP and president and was governor of Texas for six years, and he still became president and royally screwed up.

Bingo. If there's anything we don't need more of, there it is. Being religious and being an extremist fundie wingnut are not the same thing.
Describing an Alaskan as "independent" is most likely redundant. What happens in Alaska is irrelevant to the rest of the USA, that's for sure. You might also have missed that Palin is by now practically a career politician, so how is it that she "doesn't need government handouts to provide for her family." She's living off the government teat.
Besides, the precedent of the government providing sustenance aid to US citizens was established during the GREAT DEPRESSION, which is one of the all-time screw-ups of the GOP you can find. There is no longer any controversy about the legitimacy of the government providing assistance to those in poverty.

Perhaps you should revisit "supply and demand".
And, I also think if the Golden Child had picked Hillary, McCain WOULD have picked Palin. You dems really don't realize that McCain is a very smart guy and Barry is NOT. Buyers remorse? Just a bit? Hillary was a better candidate.
That McCain is "old"...I do believe the uber caring and evolved libs were against age discrimination? Oh, sorry that was then this is now.
And speaking of kicking the bucket in office...Old Barry smokes (secret smoker, how very impressive) and is a black man, whose parents died at an early age. One from alcoholism, one from cancer. Tsk-tsk. Sounds like it could be bad odds on Barry. And what about that kid Biden? TWO brain anneurisms!
Democrats. Same old crappy socialist stuff from 30 years ago. Party of change. Now that is funny.
Because she's Bush in high heels. Bush thinks God personally talks to him and personally hands out individual tasks for him to do. Palin thinks Iraq is a task from God. The same exact kind of nutjob who wants to use government to spread religion, but with high heels.
