Not in a presidential debate. You must be new to politics. He had almost a panicky demeanor to him as Mac was pounding him on these points. Almost looking to the moderator to help him put a stop to it, to interupt on his behalf. What is even more interesting is a split screen version of the debate - you can clearly see him getting rattled and anxious.

I'm sorry I watched a debate and not a death match. If you went to school, you might have been in a few of them yourself -- there are rules and guidelines.

When you say "real critical thinking," you must be referring to the old ways of politics of alienating our allies and running up the national debt.

Yeap...
That is the core, of the republican party,
that is why they dont want to pass this current bill(the bailout), this represent everything that the republican are against. This is a wounderfull bill of all the hardcore left democrats, the funny thing is that they have the power to pass the bill without the republicans but are to afraid to do it without the republicans, they dont want to be reponsible for it.

Nope, never went to school. Just your average HS drop-out. Yes, the rules are one guy gets his time, then the other gets his time, then rebuttals and re-rebuttals. Very simple rules and guidelines. Instead, Obama frantically was waving his hand like the little man that he is, trying to make it stop.

I don't recall saying "real critical thinking" anywhere.

Okay what term says govt. should never ever ever be involved in business? Reagan was the last president that felt this way and I agree 110% with him.

Laissez faire... and if you think it's good, then you're an uninformed fool with no knowledge of history. (Edit: Or, you're immoral.)

It was a Presidential debate and not some debate team at some damn school and that was my point. No, of course I didn't mean critical thinking in the way you said, but you knew that and just wanted to show your partisan self is all. I don't like either McCain or Obama but Obama eas rude and petulant during the debate.

So then everyone that has been in a war has a smug appearance? Wow. Im not thinking thats why he looks like that, its because he was p.o'd that Obama was calling him out on his **** and McSame cant be a good sport so he has to pout and be grumpy about it. If he cant take the heat then get off the stage! Boohoo McSame...

Talking Yes, that's it -- a debate team at school!

It sure seemed like a debate team at school. That's exactly what it reminded me of. The low point in this regard was when McCain started dropping foreign-policy terms in an attempt to make himself seem knowledgeable and experienced -- "glasnost," "perestroika" though he had a lot of trouble with "Ahmedinejad." For someone with his background, these should not have been words to stumble over, nor should he have needed the terms to show off. Seemed very amateurish to me.

McCain has had a couple of operations on his face to take the cancer out. Oh boo hoo Obama lovers. It seems all you can do is make fun of people or call them names. Oh well, just like your messiah, Obama.

I thought Obama did rather well in the debate. He would have done better if he would get over the fact that he is not the end all to be all. he was petulant and rude throughout the whole debate and he showed his anger quite a bit.
