With this story on voting machine malfunctions, it seems that the voting process is very open to manipulation and fraud on the part of the administrators. In several states, voting is all electronic and a voter- verified paper trail doesn't even exist. Only 16 states plan to conduct post election audits and it sounds like these audits will be performed by admin personnel, rather than an independent firm, such as a Big 4 accounting firm.

The latest malfunction affects approx 92,000 touch screen machines. Due to the positioning of the candidate 'buttons' errors favor McCain and I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't coincidental.
