So who are you blaming the mistakes on....must be god and christian principles if they're responsible for everything else.......or are you claiming christians have made no mistakes?
I believe that is prosperity as a nation not each and every individual and our national history is one of prosperity. We asked God to Bless America, why are we surprised when he does?

Fact: Religion and Government are mixed.

Religion is part of our Government.

And, it always will be.

And should be.

While the Gay community looks down on Pastor Warren, the key question is where does he stand with God? His role in the ceremony is one to ask God to look upon President Elect Obama and this country favorably and to help Obama to guide us successfully as our POTUS. Please challenge his appropriateness on the basis of his Godly resume and not his Gay resume. It is Obama who is seeking the blessing and support that day and not the Gay community. Obama has the right to select those who he thinks carry themselves in a Godly way and he has done that. Pastor Warren as a Christian can probably only be evaluated by Christians who understand and accept. Obama does and he is comfortable with Pastor Warren and that says it all for this Obama supporter.

To my Atheist friends all I can say is:

"It's a Godly thing you wouldn't understand it".

You're right, atheists deal in logic and facts not airy fairy misty floating hallucinations.

No ... God gave us all free will to decide whether we will serve Him or not. Many third world countries are poor because they have greedy tyrants ruling over them who do not recognize God's sovereigny. This is why there are so many human rights violations in many third world countries. You cannot expect God to bless you when you curse Him.

Christians do make mistakes as anyone else as we are imperfect humans. I blame a lot of our current issues on secularism and on a government that only plays lip service to Christianity.

And how do you tell those who only pay "lip service" from those who really believe? Crystal ball?

Free will to have greedy tyrants over them??????

The poor are cursing god?????

Again, god seems to reward the worst in society.

And , again, if this country is so religious why is it in such a mess? Oh, that's right , it's the fault of all those who aren't christian....what a "weasel out"....what a "pass the buck", what schluffing off of responsibility....

if it's good= christians and god made it that way

If it's bad(despite all those In God We Trust sayings on our money)= all those bad non-christians made it that way....

Add to that list the fact that liberals have made it nearly impossible to get rid dead-beat teachers. Notice how most liberal elites don't send their own kids to public schools. Even they know what a mess they have created!

As sunset said; the liberal indoctrination of our children is a major cause of the deterioration of the public schools.

Why don't children in the DC schools learn when the per pupil expenditure is around $15,000 - the tuition of a high-level private school?

Tragic.
