CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time Blog Archive - A major Bush rule gets scrapped by Obama « - Blogs from CNN.com

Not just Bush, but Reagan as well - both showed their great reverance for THE OFFICE of the president. Obviously, obama thinks he is above the office.

It wasn't just a personal preference. In the Bush administration, it was a rule: Jackets in the Oval Office — and now, it seems, one of the first Bush-era regulations to get scrapped in the Obama White House.
Why is it that republican presidents have so much respect for the office of the presidency, while democrats show so much disrespect? I don't think we need to be reminded of what Bubba did in the oval office, do we?

Hard work is more easily done with ones jacket off. There wasn't much hard work being done in the Bush or Reagan administrations.

Do you mean "work" done with pants on or off?

That is because Bush's jacket hid the controls that Cheney had him wired up with. A jacket does not make the man, as proven beyound any doubt by the empty suit that sat at that desk for 5 of the last 8 years. (You do realize that Bush spent 3 of the last 8 years on vacation don't ya?)

And the outrage of broke "Bush's rule", bush don't rule squat any more, WOW you right wingnuts are really really grasping as straws from and empty hay wagon in a hurricane.

I don't think I would care if Obama worked in his PJs or blue jeans. It doesn't matter as long as he is doing his job.

To some people, conducting business without the jacket is a gross disrespect. You might as well be wearing jeans and a t-shirt. With that said, I think there are more important things to discuss than worry about jacket on or off. What I don't understand is why is this even news? It's not a big deal until the friggin' media reports it.
