Frank-Walter Steinmeier was asked by Mark Pritchard, a Conservative member of the British delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, whether Germany would be "weak or strong" if a member of NATO was attacked, and whether under the organization's Article 5 it would consider launching military action against, for example, an aggressive action by Russia:
"I can answer you very briefly and say: strong," Steinmeier said.

He said "poor Russians from ... Buryatia", not necessarily Buryats. I only saw a Kalmyk on page 2 of his link.

Volunteers going from all over Russia. The problem is that Russian considered part of Ukraine as the Russian land.

Unlike in Azov, where alcohol is banned.

You mean Azov Regiment of National Guard?
They believe their Nazi

If you look at the pro-Russian militants they look like desperados. The same faces I saw those who returned from Chechnya.

Yes, that Azov. I've talked to a Finnish person who served there for some time. He is not a nazi.

Many Ukrainian soldiers have died due to alcohol. They dont have time to react to a missile attack or shoot at each other. This is a real problem. I am glad that this isn't in Azov's troops

American here. I love Russian and Ukranian food. (borscht, manti, dumplings, caviar, pickles, the beer etc.) It's a shame there are soooo few places that actually have it. Although there is a small Russian grocer here in Raleigh NC the nearest restaurant is in Washington DC. My question is this: What do Russians think of American food? Are there a good variety of American restaurants outside of St. Petersburg and Moscow?

American restaurants in Russia? No. Unless you count McDonalds. Ugh. But you can go to the Russian grocer in your area and buy a bag of frozen pel'meni (dumplings) and boil them up with chopped onion and some broth, and have some nice soup. And stuffed cabbage rolls aren't hard to make (golubtsy), and are yummy. There are a variety of beef stroganoff recipes online, including easy ones that use ground beef.

If you ever get to NYC, you MUST go to the Russian Tearoom! Really good traditional Russian food. It's been a fixture in Manhattan since almost forever.
