If you define a gendarme state by a state that is able to maintain public order and protect its citizen, women and children, from criminal filth then I like to live there. Rather shall the country be ruled by police officers than by criminals.

The trouble with Europe is that predictably it's the worst of both worlds. It's a gendarme state for the law abiding and open season for those that hold the West in contempt.

Spoken like someone who clearly has no idea about the situation in Europe.

Very very true, unfortunately.

How is Germany a police state for its regular citizens and how is it open season for migrants? How is Germany ruled by criminals?

I assume you pull that out of your nose and just follow the narrative of certain red-hatted people that claim we are living in an overly PC world?

I do not follow anything but make my statements based on experiences. It is not surprising that Germany is a paradise for criminal filth, regardless if they are migrants or not. European migrant crisis affects Germany as burglaries carried out see huge rise | Daily Mail Online

For most of those people, German prison are something like taking a cure on taxpayers money.

German government is very strict about everything regarding the normal tax paying citizen, if you fail to buy a train ticket you may end up in jail, if you do not pay your "GEZ" broadcasting fee you may end up in jail, and you get speeding tickets at every corner, while the criminals that are ignoring the police, brutally attacking citizen and law enforement representatives are released after a couple of days and often do not have to fear any consequences. And do not even think about defending your own property, as gun ownership or any other effective countermeasure is prohibited.

Funny to see Americans speaking about how Europe is dangerous now but don t worry because crime rate in Chicago is also in French front page news.

Le Monde - Week-end sanglant à Chicago
Week-end sanglant à Chicago

With 776 murders this year in Chicago, It is like a Nice style attack each month.

Most all of Chicago's murders are underclass drug dealers, addicts and gang members making room for new members and realigning territories. Most Chicagoans have never heard a gunshot or seen a felony.

The pictures as posted above were virtually everywhere. The fortune article is clearly bogus.
You're right, but unfortunately it's not a one-off. You now have be suspect of anything you read in both Fortune and Forbes. Each has a few professional journalists, surrounded by thousands of opinion writers competing to get something onto the website, similar to the HuffPo model. People will write something sensational if they think they have a better chance of making some money.
