Ok, did 50 minutes cardio in a different order just to shake things up. Incline bench press, shoulder shrugs, standing military press, tri pulldown, lat pulldown with v grip thingy, cable bicep curl, abs - as much as I could do in one minute - did 72, 70, 65 for a total of three minutes. Hubby was with me, he did thirty, he's also doing some HIIT training and he's wiped out. Proud of him. We all start somewhere.

Strength day. Concentrated on legs, and tried the slanted (upside down) bench press for the first time, a few sets of abs.

Today I did something I just don’t get a chance to do. I laced up the sneakers and went for a walk. Not for speed or for my heart but for enjoyment. The walk ended up being 6.27 miles on various terrain in 84 degrees. I could’ve walked longer but my left foot had some abrasion and I didn’t want to overtrain. I guess this is what steady state cardio is like, pure distance. The pedometer registered 725 calories burned over the course of the one and one half hr. I think that’s legit because my body burned through my sizable lunch and I had to eat a slice of bread to tide my through. I wanted to continue the gym momentum with my husband so immediately after I got home from the walk we headed out to our final session at our neighborhood gym. Did my usual 40 mins of cardio for the heart, then did a little strength. By that time I had done over two hours of aerobic activity so I wasn’t full of energy for the lifting still managed to do cable rows bicep curls tri extensions lat pulldowns upright cable rows. Now I’m feeling the effects of all that!
