Would a couple of a glasses of wine ruin a diet, overall mood and drive to continue working out?
No, especially if you will be eating finger-snack foods with your wine. If I have an evening and or weekend session, a couple of beers along with dinner and or a snack will not hurt. Now if you are going out after every workout and getting faced, then you are essentially wasting your time.

In fact, alcohol in moderation won't kill you. Don't drive yourself crazy overthinking it, as I used to do. You will be fine. You have to live, and stop and smell the flowers sometimes.

Your post work out meal (s) are whats most important. By FAR. If you have a couple glasses of wine later on they wont be a big deal. Not a good habit but occasionally is fine.

Then you've heard wrong. So someone who goes out and runs 10 miles but then has 4 beers renders their work out "worthless?" Same thing with resistance training.

Alcohol is not bad post workout. It is like every other thing you put into your body....moderation. Do stay hydrated though while drinking any booze.

A couple glasses of wine? No, that won't ruin a workout. Not at all. I am having trouble understanding why you would think that it may.

Do you think it would add too many calories? Or do you think that the alcohol content in 2 glasses of wine somehow stops muscle growth?

What about top level world class athletes...do you think they all completely abstain from alcohol and recreational drugs? It's completely fine. Have some wine and a slice of pizza every once in a while.

Everything in moderation. Exessive drinking lowers testosterone. Alcohol also inhibits protein synthesis which is used to build muscle. Alcohol dehydrates. Its full of non nutrional calories. Alcohol converts to estrogen. Its catabolic. Pretty clear that you should avoid alcohol if you are serious about strength training.
