Is dehydrated fruit significantly less healthly than eating regular fruit? The specific brand I am eating is Kirkland Signautre Fruit & Nut Medley from Costco. Any drawbacks to it?

Sure, it just doesn't have the water content of fresh or canned fruit. Enjoy!

Not so fast on the dried fruit. Most of it is almost always much worse nutrition wise than just eating regular fruit.

I am not sure about the content of the Fruit and Medley (still searching) but I did notice that the Kirkland dried whole blueberries contain:

One cup:
Calories - 390
Sodium - 30mg
Sugar - 84g

It's better for you than eating ice cream but you're better off eating "real" fruit.

True....if it's either that or a piece of chocolate fudge cake (mmmmm...that sounds good....anyways) you are better off with the dried fruit. However, real fruit is definitely better for you without question. Typically dried fruit lack's all of the nutrients that fresh fruit provides plus, they have to add sugar and preservatives and all that nasty stuff to it in order for it to taste half way decent....

Plus, I read an article that fruit is good to eat to curb hunger. Why? 'Cuz fruit is mostly water. Not much water in dehydrated fruit! hehe

Dried fruit is great for you, as long as it doesn't have sugar or additives -- and then it's still better than a lot of other snack food. You can make your own really easily if you buy a small food dehydrator.
