If someone is telling you that you could use a more "polished" look, it's a sugar-coated way of telling you that you look sloppy. Some chicks are into that, most aren't.

Ok, but here's what annoys me about this situation...

It was not a relationship type of deal...it was simply a roomate type of deal...

Even as a possible roomate...why would this lady feel the need to try to 'dress' me..

Is, was she looking at me as a possible future mate?

I mean I do look 'handsome'...and maybe she could see that...and so figured it was her duty to start grooming me ahead of time?

I just felt annoyed by that...so much so that I started this thread...

What?
Is she already grooming me to be her future husband??

It was simply a roomate add...and she responded to me, not me her...

Not every woman that criticizes a guy's appearance and offers advice wants to get into a relationship with them. Is it necessary? No, but the probably thought she was doing you a favour.

Not to be a hater, but if a strange woman, with no personal interest in you, suggest you clean up your act..it may mean that you are giving off the wrong vibe with your look. Not saying you're a bad guy or anything of the kind, but maybe something about your appearance is off-putting.

OTH, I can't imagine a situation where I'd tell a vitrual stranger to clean himself up, uninvited.

I don't like men that take longer than I do to make themselves spiffy.

all she did was suggest i get a hair cut...and I told her I no longer need a roomate at the moment...and she left future possiblilities open incase I change my mind...

I'm handsome...and she knows it...but she was trying to 'refine' me even more and turn me into a Ken doll...

It's probablly not a good idea to move in with a woman anyhow...but she owns a nice condo....

But if she thinks by me moving in, that she 'owns' me...I just don't know...

I don't look sloppy...the photo I sent just had me looking slight 'rebelish' I guess...I don't know how women interpit things...

In real life...women do like me...they just don't know what to do with me once I'm in their presences...so instead they always turn me into their 'project'....

"oh girl, I'll turn him around and he'll be so handsome"...

No...

You might want to cut it out with the "I'm handsome, she just wants to make me a Ken doll" thing. You're taking this to heart way more than you should be.

If some random stranger is telling you that you should consider a haircut, while you've got fantastic bone structure, your hair looks like crap.

Anyways ladies...thanks for your help and possible suggestions...
I think I needed this...

To hear from women on a neutral format....like being at a hairdressor salon...all of us just chatting...

I enjoyed it...
