If you can, she would be an exception.
Marilyn Monroe. Basically any star pre-1980 give or take.

Marilyn Monroe had a flat butt? Wow. If that's what we're calling a flat butt, something is wrong here. But if that's the standard, then yeah, flat butts were "in" for virtually all of American history.

Some do, but who cares? Why should you care what someone else thinks about who you date or marry?

Life is so much easier when you stop caring what other people think, I promise.

Well Eddie, the only possible thing I could add is my opinion and that would be if any man is in the least bit concerned what society thinks about a man dating a 'larger woman' then maybe the man in question should just not date a 'larger woman'.

But to answer the op...yes, I am sure there is a segment of our society who may 'look down' on men who date 'larger women'. BUT, if that's what the man likes and is attracted to he should follow his desires and hope he falls in love with her (and she with him) and they hopefully lead a full and happy life together. That would also be my hope for any of the more untraditional combinations that society could possibly look down on or frown upon.

Life is very, very short indeed and it 'ain't' always easy finding or sustaining happiness.

Very true. Before the 80's most women with ample cleavage, also had an ample butt to go with that cleavage. To enhance their figures more, they wore a waist-cinchers.

Then breast implants came on the scene, and young ladies wondered how those stick figure girls has such big round breasts? By the 90s, everyone had figured it out.

She has hips / flat butt. A pretty common body type for busty women.

The non-PC answer is yes society does look down on it. In a broad macro-view of American society, the physical appearance of a man's woman is also a sign of his own success as a man almost like a nice car or home. So having an out of shape, overweight woman will cause others to look at him as if he's failed in that aspect of his life. Other guys will look at him as a loser and other more fit women might look at him, puzzled as to why he's with a less desirable mate than themselves.

I'm a tall, skinny guy, and am also a life-long lover of Big Beautiful Women (BBW's). I am much more attracted to BBW's than to thin women.

Years ago, I was on a date with my then-girlfriend and while I didn't notice anything at the time, she told me later that a woman at the movie theatre (where we were waiting in line) looked us up & down as if we were from another planet - I'm guessing this was because my gf was quite large, while I was thin.

However, in recent years I have seen many more slender guy/bigger women couples than I had in the past. I'm thinking that this has become more "acceptable", if that makes any sense...(conversely, I rarely see extremely overweight men/thin women couples).

And, just for the record, Marilyn Monroe was not that big - she was "voluptuous", but was not a BBW. This type of thing is a pet peeve of mine, i.e. people thinking that if a woman is even slightly "thick" that she's a BBW - this is simply not true. I think this type of mentality comes from women in the U.S. being brain-washed that they all have to look like skinny supermodels. So, if any of them gains even a slight amount of weight, she considers herself (and/or others consider her) overweight - b$%$##%@!

Lots of foundations of later behavior are set in our early years.
Interesting theory, but I completely disagree. My mother was thin, I'm thin, and I like big women. So the idea that men who like big women have that preference because their mothers were big is also simply not always true - at least not in my case.
