I have heard GREAT things about it, but it kind of grosses me out It's like an electric cheese grater for feet, and in the commercial where they open it out and pour out the foot shavings... EWWWWW LOL

Yes and I love it. I was so very skeptical but I am a runner and currently training and my calluses and bottom of my feet were in real bad shape. No amount of soaking, creams, lotions or pumice stones helped. The Ped Egg has worked wonders. While not normally a HSN shopper-a friend referred me to their website and I looked at all the reviews. Most were positive. Some people complained about cutting themselves, etc. You need to start off slow, follow the instructions-that is what I did and I am pleased. I am lucky to have a husband who does it for me and my feet have been better and my running is better because I do not have to run in pain from the calluses.

I purchased the Platinum Pro Stainless Steel one.

I bought one in Walmart and it did absolutely nothing for my feet. Noting came off my feet - my feet are not that bad anyway - what a rip off

Just thought this might be a little helpful: Does it Work: Ped Egg (http://www.wvec.com/news/diw/stories/wvec_local_042208_ped_egg_diw_.8b1f159f.html - broken link)

Do some people have some type of huge buildup of skin on their feet? I tried the ped egg and a very, tiny miniscule amount of skin came off and my foot did not look any better at all.

Yes. Some people have really bad callouses on their feet that amount to a great deal of dead skin. My husband has a problem with it on his big toe and heel. I'm probably going to get him one of these based on what I've seen.

Yes as I said above I run-right now about 40+ miles a week and I will be increasing mileage soon and the ped egg has done wonders for my callouses. I was at a point where I was running in pain because nothing helped-lotions, creams, even foot treatments at a day spa. If your feet are already in great shape then I guess it will do nothing to help them. My friend who reccomended it to me got one for her husband because he is in work boots all day and has callouses and it has done wonders for him as well.

I've used it. The results were better than any pedicure I've ever had and if you use the right moisturizer afterward, then your skin will be smooth for weeks. I wear sandals and open toed shoes alot so I'm always exposed. This worked better (and faster) than any pumice stone.
