Low rise jeans are dead sexy on the right body type. That is, flat stomach. Packing a muffin top...not so much.

I can't stand the "mom from the 1980's" high rise jeans in style today. They are so unflattering and make the most attractive woman look frumpy and dated. It wasn't a good trend then, and it still isn't now.

According to some youths I know, skinny jeans are considered "mom jeans" now.

I never had the shape to pull off low rise jeans, and I never found them to be comfortable. I was super glad that trend waned.

I remember being in my late 30's - early 40's, and I had a pair of low rise Gap jeans. I wore them, but they weren't my most comfortable pair of jeans.

I pretty much ONLY wear bootcut jeans...MAYBE leggings in the winter, with boots...the bootleg is more important to me than the waist line...and I like a mid rise or waist high just fine. But I'm an older woman...I don't have the shape I used to have. LOL

Ita…BUT we have to be careful about where we wear them, especially with a tied top or baby tee. It’s like a thong bikini tho….there are a few social situations I can think of it wouldn’t be appropriate IMO, so “we” have to be aware of that.

edit: It’s not like I’m a young teen like I was the 1st time around in the early 2000s.

lo rise = low slung butt, pockets hanging below the butt, not a good look for a lot of women

form fitted high rise gives a lifted shape to the butt, how is that not sexy? Isn't that why those 'booty lifting' leggings are popular?

Not a guy but if I were I know which I'd prefer to see

Actually speaking of these frumpy high rise mom jeans, I have noticed many young ladies in their 20's dressing like they are posing for the 1987 Sears catalog in terms of their fashion choices. Just the other day, I saw a young woman with a freaking fannie pack. WTH? Why?? It's like they want to look 58 years old or something. My elderly mother dresses better (harley davidson shirt, black leggings lol)
