I get this uneasy feeling in my stomach when I see people wearing these hats. It screams to me that the person looks for the most cookie cutter of ways to come across as trendy and hip. Yuck. Reminds me of when people wore those Von Dutch or whatever it’s called hats…or Affliction tshirts.
Is this a Thing? Because I think I’ve literally never seen/noticed anyone wearing a Bass Pro hat. I also don’t hang out with people who enjoy fishing, boating, hunting, etc… so perhaps I’m not with the right audience? I do hike, but have still never seen anyone in a Bass Pro hat. And yes, I live near a Bass Pro.

It’s not really worn as symbol of someone that likes fishing/boating/hunting. It’s worn for style. I first saw them popping up on Tiktok videos when I used to watch…now they have filtered down locally.
Glad you haven't seen me wearing my Ducks Unlimited hat. Or the Delta Waterfowl one. Or the one I have that identifies me as a Hunter and Firearms Safety Instructor for the Maryland DNR.
