So I live in Deltona and my usual fishing spot is off the piers in Port Orange / Daytona Beach. I don't know if its just me noticing this or not but, things have been going slow for not only me but also the other people there. When I was younger I remember going to these places and they used to have a lot more activity there. Now and in recent years, it has been a whole other story.
What I wanted to know was, what are some piers within the area worth going to? And what times would you recommend? I'm usually out there either in the morning or evening, sometimes all day.. And my typical bait is shrimp (frozen/live) and if the bait shop has any, I'd buy some live mullet. I noticed while using this bait that catfish seems to like it the most. If I want to catch other fish besides catfish, what would be a recommended bait to use? I guess this is slowly turning into a 'fishing 101' type of thread but, I would appreciate any information
