Hmm you're not the first person to actually mention something like this- can you elaborate?

Florida is fine if you are young and can tolerate the heat. If you are 40-45+ and trying to raise a family I'd recommend looking elsewhere

Yeah but ever increasing COL and near minimum wages....yea thats a FL thing

You will see. You will love it at first because of the climate but after time realize that "warm weather" doesnt put food on the plate.

Seems many here blame the state and our people for their poor decisions that have lead to them struggling living here.

Odd thing is if you really look into it I drive by tons of new beautiful vehicles every single day. I see huge expensive homes all over Florida. These people certainly are not making minimum wage.

If you are making minimum wage it is not Floridas, the people or any other reason other then you are not doing what a large portion of people who live here are.

Go into any neighborhood and seeing the huge beautiful homes, with 3-4 nice new cars in the drive way and those people are not making minimum wage or even close.

If you do not like it here then move. I love it here and have no problem when I moved here with finding a good paying job that far more exceeds what me and my family need.

And I think this is where people get confused and arguments start.......

Is there good paying jobs in Florida?......YES

Do some people make a great living in Florida......YES

Is the ratio of good paying jobs to low paying jobs acceptable for a state of 20 million people?....NO

Are there enough good paying jobs for all the people who have moved and are moving here?......NO

Are wages in Florida for most jobs a lot less than other places?.....YES

Do wages stagnate in Florida worse than other places?......YES

Do many people move here with money from "up north" to help them financially?......YES

Are there big houses and fancy cars in Florida?.....YES
