And I'm not complaining about FL either, but stating a fact about increased crime. It sucks and spoils any city, town, state or country and makes life miserable for those who are decent. Nothing good about it.

I have addressed your statement about increased crime, and how the statistics show that crime is down in Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach since 1999.

Crime is bad, but do you think you have a distorted picture of the real crime situation?

It makes me laugh how on the east coast, everyone loves to hate NY'rs and everywhere in the west everyone hates Californians. I am a native NY'r who moved to SoCal for eight years before moving to Oregon. They REALLY love me.... lol

Personally, I'm hoping to relocate to NC. I've lived here almost all of my life. I have grown more & more to hate the heat. So I'm looking to move to more comfortable weather (yes, including some snow). What has really given me a kick in the butt to put this in motion is I am now unemployed and can't find a job here in Vero. So....time for change!

^^^ I have lived in Asheville for a while. If that is a place you'd be interested in, I can help you with any questions. If you do, just DM (direct message) me, I'd be glad to help - as a native Floridian but lovin' and missin' Asheville dude.

Consider Knoxville. A lot less heat and humidity. A dusting of snow a couple of times a year that usually melts right away. Beautiful fall and glorious spring. It's perfect.

I miss my kids in NY and my 4 seasons. I doubt I would have had the same adversion to someplace like NC or Tn. as I do to Florida. Too extreme, too far away, and been there, done that and left, way too many years ago.
