I'd say Honeycrisp, followed by Cameo. Of those mentioned here.

I like Gala's. To me, the fuji's are a little watery.

I like Jonathon apples, Jongold, and Honey Crisp. Never been a fan of Red Delicious. Golden Delcious, yum! Granny Smith, too tart.

Gala has been my fav. for years, but just last week a very dear friend of mine told me about Honey Crisp. She said it is THE apple of them all. I have never had one and not sure where to find them. She believes they mainly are available during the holidays.

I always go for the red delicious, they are everywhere all the time. I think they are usually sweet enough, but sometimes can be a bit tart when underdeveloped or out of season. The large red delicious apples from Washington state are the best of all, IMO.

The one type of apple that's always sweet enough for me no matter what, but may not fit the OP's requirements, would have to be the caramel apple.

Thank you! Dangme, we have a membership there but since I shop on base at least once a week I haven't been to Costco in a long time. I'll ask hubby to grab some the next time he's headed there.

We pick honey crisps ourselves every September, they last a long time and to us are the sweetest, followed by Maccouns..

(Need something healthy to quench my sweet tooth.. it's a new year resolution.....)

Gala, I heard on tv today, has finally pushed Red Delicious off the most popular apple list...

love them and Fuji...
