I love the sound of the soy sauce marinade for the chicken. I bet it would be good with pork, too. Thanks for sharing, crazyworld, Lacey, and Cyn!

Tonight, I am doing easy! Baked filet of sole rollups, steamed broccoli and baked potatoes. I'll serve some Aioli sauce on the side for the fish for my DS, but otherwise, plain eating!

Last night I tried a new recipe that DH found in Southern Living magazine (Yeah, weird, huh?) It was a Mexican Pork Stew which smelled absolutely wonderful. DS had more before bed last night (no nightmares) and DH and DS had the rest for lunch today - so, I think it passes the "Keeper" test.

Enjoy dinner, everyone!

When we go to Japan we see most of DP's family......not all at one place...but there are gatherings of 5 or 6 here and then 4 or 5 there....lots of visiting....(of course since I don't speak Japanese and none of them speak English....I miss out on most of it.....my own family also scattered so I never knew my cousins or aunts and saw them seldom.

I'm glad to see the beginnings of Christmas meal talk. I've been talking to my wife and kids about what each will make for when we go to my cousin's house for Thanksgiving and everyone keeps saying "We have time. We have time."

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I lose myself in the kitchen for a few days and "create".

I have a maternal family reunion coming up the second Saturday in November. Talk about a feed, that it will be. Tender smoked pork to wild salmon on the grill. Southern style veggies and desserts galore. I look forward to this more than any of the holidays. My mother being the last of the siblings is now the matriarch so it is important to make sure she gets there every year now. I've just eaten my bowl of stew and now want to eat again just thinking about the upcoming feast.

Come on down. I can always use another daughter and some grand kids. As long as you don't pass the salmon off as pink chicken.

My pink chicken is from a bird that has been hickory smoked. Then it's pink chicken that is oh so good and in no way fishy.
