Charley - Belly bombers! Oh wow!! We sure do miss them. We can only get them frozen now, but they're not the same. The frozen ones don't even come with a pickle on them.
Elston - Your dinners always sound like something to be experienced, not just eaten. (That is, except for the sashimi you had in Japan. I won't eat raw fish at any time; moving gills and fluttering tails would have put me over the edge.
)
Burdell - There is nothing like fish fresh off the boat. Yum!!
Milkenb - I'd save a fortune if DH wasn't home for dinners. I would be happy with just a bowl of pasta, something simple like cantaloupe and cottage cheese, or a vegetable plate for dinner - if I fixed anything at all. DH is more of a meat and potato kind of person and always wants his dinner.
Nikk - Back then the butchers had sawdust on the floor and chickens hung by their feet.
At least the ones I remember did.
Cyn - I can relate. I don't mind eating what was killed, I just don't want to eat it after I met it alive.
Southdown - I would tell DH to pick up pizza on his way home.
Speaking of pizza.... That is exactly what we're having for dinner tonight. DH is picking it up on his way home, along with a cheese calzone for us to share.
