Out for dinner would have been fine but it's a bit hard to find a babysitter during the week. So dinner or the movies have to wait for the weekend.

Morning all we are doing bbq chicken in the crockpot. Will probably have baked beans and corn on the cob and maybe mashed potatoes to go with it.

The local market had some good looking (and smelling) cod so it's going to be baked cod with tomato, garlic, onion, and olives, asparagus, and home fries along with a glass or three of Portuguese Vinho Verde. Fresh strawberries and blackberries for dessert.

cyn...

I know no one usually posts what's for lunch but we had home made clam cakes today...the same kind you would get up in Rhode Island. The Mrs. mixes Snow's minced clams, and the juice they are packed in, into her fritter batter and deep fries them in canola oil.

These are the type that look like little fat fritters...not the flat, rectangular type that you would get in the three northern NE states or in most of Mass and CT.

They are so filling that you could make them for dinner
