Cyn-just get chips, salsa, cheese and you're done.

I wish. I certainly could do that but hubby needs a meal! Besides, I rarely keep chips on hand anymore so that would require a drive to town---and that is an adventure in itself! Ha! It's ok, I've decided on lasagna--I have all the ingredients so if I start it now it won't take very long. I decided to make a grand, green salad to go with the lasagna! You know, the kind with just about everything in it! I'm feeling hungry for one of those kind of salads! Plus the garlic toast and dinner is ready! Horray---the hard part is done, just figuring out what to make!

Hmmm....I have a roast and some stir-fry beef in my freezer, if not I'm always getting 1lb packages of ground beef.
The taste for something savory sounds good, some nice to sink your teeth into.

Well the roast would take a while to thaw..stir fry could thaw fast. Ground beef could be thawed and used in a number of recipes. Stir fy is not something I have done so I will leave this to someone else who knows about that..

I did use stir fry meat for a stroganoff I made a couple of nights ago and it was great. The recipe is on this thread a few pages back.

Ya know...I just might use the stir-fry. About the only thing I know what to do with it is brown the meat with some soy sauce and add scrambled eggs and rice to it. It's actually quite tasty.

You can cook the roast frozen just will take longer.

I would do what Cyn said and use the stir fry for the stroganoff or do it up with your veggies.

I make my own version of 'mongolian beef' stir fry by taking slices of the beef and lightly coating them in corn-starch.

Brown them in oil for a few min, then add about 1/2 c worschestchire (sp?)and 1/2 c soy sauce and simmer.

Then you can add slices of mushroom and green onion.

Serve over white rice.

I'm new to this board but have been a 'lurker'. You all have helped me out quite a bit! So, hello !!
