Nothing more uncomfortable then a headache skbs---take care!

OK, so making cookies has always been easy for me. I make good cookies if I do say so myself. One of my better traits. So today I decided to make a new kind of cookie, at least new to me. I have some oatmeal that needs to be used up and some pecans. No problem. I find an easy enough sounding recipe for a Lace pecan oatmeal cookie. I mix all the ingredients and start on making my cookies. I don't have the spray on butter they mention but I can just use either shortening or butter. The cooked cookies are so thin and fragile they won't even think about coming up. It say s to remove immediately--yeah right! They roll up in balls--ugh! I try a spray on olive oil (not ment for baking cookies I am sure). No better. So I try foil with some crisco on it---no better. Let's see that's about half the batter in a big bunch of pieces....hmmmm. Idea---parchment paper! Horray--finally the cookies come off in one piece! Yes!! So I ended with about half the amount of cookies and yes, they are tasty but I highly doubt if I ever cook them again. What a pain. It took all day!
