Same question could be asked about giving up vegetables. I wouldn't give up veggies without a fight! Same goes for meat 10X! I don't need any excuses either way.
Ditto, and throw in the fruit and berries too. I want the whole Enchilada. I want all the different vitamins and minerals and other nutrients my body was intended to need. I will never be a pill junkie to get them either.
It wouldn't be. I ate a predominantly vegan diet for forty-three years, with a few minor departures when I was nursing my children (not enough calories from my usual fare).
Now, I'm diabetic, but still don't eat much meat. I now eat dairy, which I didn't used to do prior to becoming diabetic in 2011.
I don't eat meat all that often. It would be much more difficult for me to give up fish, seafood. I ate a vegan diet for about a year, and a strict vegetarian diet for about 5 years. I craved cheese while on the vegan diet and seafood when I was vegetarian. I got tired of wanting.
If I had to? I can't think of any reason to be forced to go meatless, but if I had to, I'd give up meat and get on with my life. Perhaps some sort of medical reason?
If the reason I "had to" give up meat was some sort of vegan dictatorship outlawing meat, there would be an enormous black market in illegal meat. I think I might become a rum runner and make an illegal fortune. Maybe have a hamburger speakeasy.
i can make a lot of delicious dishes using veggies, beans, i have bought veggie burgers and some of them are really good. i love tofu and quinoa and theyre known to have high protein content.
