Yesterday's dinner was a late afternoon wedding but it was surprisingly good. I had a field green salad, steak tips, butternut squash ravioli and garlic mashed potatoes. Then we went out for drinks with a group of old friends at the wedding. Ordered pulled pork nachos, two of us liked them the rest gave them a big meh.
Tonight will be grilled ham steak with a maple syrup glaze, rice pilaf and carrots.
It is in the high 90s today, at least there is a breeze, thank God. I don't feel like cooking a lot. Yesterday I made a couple of tomato pies, gave one to a friend and I will heat the other for us tonight. Have a lot of fresh so will fix spoiled brats favorite, fruit salad with brandy cream sause.
Tonight I will use the leftover crab from Saturday to make crab and spinach-stuffed ravioli with a lemon/garlic/butter sauce, tomato bruschetta and gin lemonade fizzes.
A peach nonfat Greek yogurt, 3 slices of whole wheat challah bread with healthy-style margarine & strawberry spread and a mug of organic black tea with a teaspoon of sugar.
The last of the beef stew, buttered challah, and unsweetened iced tea to drink.
