DH and I met some fellow semi-empty nesters people with kids in college at our Club for Mother's Day Grand Buffet. The food was really delicious! Lots for those of you who eat meat.

But, enough for me,too.I enjoyed pineapple glazed salmon, wild rice pilaf, zucchini and potatoes braised in a garlic winesauce and tortolini alforno in a creamy tomato sauce. For desert, strawberry cheesecake.

Here is the link to the menu! I wish that many of you were with us. Good music and beautiful scenery and decor.http://www.trumbullcountryclub.com/

Had a great Mother's Day with my boys. Took them to this museum PEM Mobile over in Salem Ma.
We had a great time. We went for a late lunch. I had a pastrami with cole slaw and Russian dressing on marble rye and a pickle. It was huge so I just picked up some fancy pants uncured bacon smoked hot dogs for dinner.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!

I used to make a one pot chicken and orzo all the time. Might need to add it back into rotation.

Tonight's dinner. Hmmmm. Possibly Haagen Dazs chocolate ice cream.

Leftover shepherds pie, bubble and squeak, never made it but I have leftover cabbage, potatoes and carrots and I know it will be good.

Moors and Christians, well, at least my version of it.

Black Beans, Brown Rice, Black eyed Peas, boiled up with cumino and chili pepper. Served over Parmesan and taken with green ice (NO, not that kind of "green ice") tea.
