The Vienna Italian Beef ready to start warming, the onions and peppers are ready to saute, the REALLY good rolls are ready, have a brand new jar of Giardiniera open, and we're just waiting for our friends to start showing up. There was one very memorable Kentucky Derby party where we had the traditional Mint Juleps - we discovered that with our group of friends, pumping us full of Maker's Mark was really not such a good idea, so we stick with beer and wine and byo.

We have also decided that the mysteries of "Burgoo" will continue to remain as such - this isn't a good day for experimentation amongst our group of friends. It'd be like making omelets for a Super Bowl party - they'd have my head on a pike in my front lawn if only to serve as a warning to others.

Meatloaf, Mac n cheese, Mexican street corn, lemon poundcake with berries and whipped cream. Way too many carbs, but it is my mother's day dinner

2 extra large pizzas from Round Table, we have friends and family coming over tonight to watch movies. I still have to go to Costco to buy a few last minute things. Have a great night everyone!

The girls will make some fettuccine alfredo tonight to start the Mother's Day Celebration.
and we'll have a simple salad.

I want to wish all my CD friends a Happy Mother's Day. We all had mothers even if we aren't mothers ourselves but if you have fur babies you too are a mother. Enjoy your day tomorrow.
I'd like to share with you the roses my dear son sent to me from Kazakhstan for Mother's Day.

Not sure, maybe some ramen noodles. I'm not feeling that well...a little chest pain and congestion.

Cinco De Mayo - late. Making an enchilada casserole that I have tried before and and my family really enjoyed. https://eatingrules.com/healthy-vege...ada-casserole/

Don't be scared. It doesn't taste healthy. Serving that with a green salad with avocados, tomatoes and black olives with home made garlic lime cilantro dressing and scalloped corn bake. (not healthy but oh so good)

For desert German apple cake.

AND some good wine that my DH is picking up right now.

To all of the women who post here - I send you warm Mother's Day greetings for a happy and special day! I include women without kids, because let's face it - most of us perform some motherly function in life - as an aunt, or other relative, a mentor to a younger person, a God mother - of Fur Baby mother. It's all good.
