(That's pronounced "Bar-eee-ya" for those that don't know.)
If it were Spanish you would be right. Since it is Italian it is Ba-rill-a.

I've subscribed to Cooking Light on and off for a few years. The issue I got out of the mailbox yesterday said it was the last issue of the publication. I missed the news that it was shutting down: https://www.eater.com/2018/9/12/1785...print-magazine

Finally doing some wings in an air fryer tonight. If they are good then we will do larger batches in the convection oven. Lunch and dinner plans were destroyed today.

Stopped for a quick in and out at Kroger on the way home this morning. Needed just two items. Barely got to use the express lane. That's what happens when I get loose in the fruit and produce departments alone. And then there is the matter of two pies from the frozen desserts case. One coconut cream to replace the one that has disappeared and a pecan that looks oh so good.

Been there. I’m finding that the best thing about the meal service I get 3 days a week is it keeps me out of the grocery store, where a couple of things wind up being $80.

Oh yes, the case of the disappearing pie

I understand being loose in the produce section....always want a little of everything, especially when they are at the perfect stage.

Oh woe is me....

I cannot get out with under ten items when I'm just shopping for one or two....!

I learned a long time ago not to go to the grocery store hungry. It’s bad enough when the deli is prep rotisserie chickens without a growling stomach weakening my willpower.

I will be tested again today when I visit a new high end supermarket here in Texas. At least today my wife will be along to chaperone me.
