Went out for dinner last night.......Tuscan Ribeye (herbs and marinated in olive oil and balsamic), some crispy fried polenta, and sauteed green beans.
I got some soba noodles from Trader Joe's last week, not realizing they were part of a kit (sesame oil and some interesting toppings and spices), and I used them in a recipe. I still have all the "fixins," so I am going to use them with whole-wheat spaghetti and some leftover turkey. It'll either be really good or really terrible.
I'm thinking a cheese sandwich made with one of the cheddar/jalapeno bagels I invested in. I can make that and if I eat it before the boss gets home it can't get vetoed.
Use regular grits and follow directions on bag. Add favorite cheese (veveeta melts good) when done or serve topped with over easy eggs or bacon, onion, & tomato gravy. Goes great with fried fish and slaw.
What's for dinner tonight? Wish I knew! Didn't make it to the store what with being sick, but feeling a lot better today. I hope it's not time to play can I make it until Saturday without going to Kroger again.
