I'm looking for a short term rental in the Coconut Creek area and have two I'm choosing from -- Banyan Bay or Star Pointe. Since I'm not going to be able to get down to see them in person, I'm wondering if anyone here has any opinion or info on these 2 complexes?

Thanks in advance,
Devin

We looked at the Bayan Bay apartments when we first moved down here over a year ago. We found them small and not alot of ammenities for the price. The location gives you easy access to the freeway and main roads.

I had a really good friend of mine that lived in Banyan Bay and he enjoyed it for the most part. It was a pretty basic apartment. I honestly didn't think it was worth the price but really what place in S. Florida is?? It was safe, clean, with normal "middle class" residents. Good location as it's close to the turnpike, 441, ect. I didn't really see anything to complain about. FYI-A few blocks down is the west side of Pompano Beach (which I never ventured into) but you might want to double check with others about that area as I heard that particular area can get kind of sketchy.

Yeah, I've been in that side of Pompano Beach when I have gotten lost a couple of times when going to Coconut Creek. It's really the worst looking area I have seen in South Florida and I'm familiar with many bad areas all the way to Miami. After the turnpike that place goes totally downhill right away but I don't know if it affects Coconut Creek residents. Just make sure you don't go east after the Turnpike if you move there. Anyways it's really hard to live in South Florida and not be surrounded by bad neighborhoods unless you live very West.
