Same here, nhkev, only here in NH,as you know ,we need to winterize.Marina wanted over $1,000 to winterize and launch in the spring.I pulled the boat myself...spent $11 for hull cleaner (took me 20 min and it's perfect...they charge $100) then my buddy and I fogged out the engine with mystery oil, pulled the drain plugs.......that took 30 min and now all I have to do is cover it for the winter.
What do you have to do to store a boat in Florida?? I plan to bring down a boat in march and will probably leave it at my dock down there.

I hope you get your license this week as planned, and I hope things go well for you in Tennessee too. I have a quick question, how reciprical is your license once you get it. Is it easy to get licensed in another state once you have it?

I also hope things pick up for your husband too. I think people will put things off as long as they can, but that won't help them if they don't do the regular maintenance. It wll just make it worse.

Oh, and thanks for your private comment the other day too! I really appreciate it.

when you say keep at your dock, I hope you mean boatlift. I guess barnacles attach pretty quickly if left in the water.

Things not so great in NJ either, shore tourist area. We had 3 trucks and 6 guys 2 years ago (electrical contracting), now down to 2 men. Price of gas and copper took a toll on overhead along with bad economy. Whoever said Corizine has greated jobs must be smokin wacky weed, jobs are few and far between. I know many out of work over 6mths. and longer. It seems to be slowly recovering, houses are starting to sell. Goodwill stores are jammin.
We winterized our boat as well, hubby got great deal on anti freeze, paid the $900 for pull out and winter storage. Would cost about $500 to haul her home, then I have to look at it dry docked if I were here. Happyily, I am on my way to SWF this Fri, pm. Wish we could bring the searay, great boating down there. Will check out the rentals. Hoping our fav restaurants are sstill in business, especially Reds. Wish everyone best of luck, still waiting on some Change.

The short answer is "it depends." We have reciprocity with many states and even then they can often just take the test without the classroom but it is not etched in stone. But that's rgarding Tennessee and a real estate agent coming into our state. I have no idea how it works if I were to try to get licensed in another state.

He's out there fixing cars, again, today.

Thanks, Big House. You're a great guy.

Thanks for coming to my rescue. I guess you could tell that I was getting a little shook up.
