I walked up to Fred Meyer to get cash from my bank's ATM -- saved about $4 in ATM fees plus gas and wear and tear on my car.

Got some meat with addidtional off coupons because they expire tomorrow. And five six packs of Diet Dew with a coupon for two bucks each. A months' supply! Gets me up to .70 cents off per gallon with the gas points I earned, too!

Didn't go out to buy a few grocery items to make lunch and dinner, and instead reheated some leftovers that were frozen from a dinner I had last week. I had a sweet tooth too so I made a quick and simple high protein mug cake with whey protein. A bit of sugar free chocolate syrup and peanut butter 'frosting' to get rid of the last bit of protein powder that I can't fit into my suitcase when I go back on campus next week.

Just had a nice dinner ... Without spending that much. Probably 2$ a serving. Not even that.

Boiled cod ... French fries in the oven. Then in a wook pan olive oil with onions and garlic let it brown .. Pour French fries and cod in .. Mix all together. Then add whole eggs and mix... Add some coriander for pretty.

For a faster recipe you can use those straw chips used in hot dogs that the result will be the same. Nutritious and cheap. Try not to fry those potatoes/French fries ... Use the oven

Redeemed a coupon I found after I had bought the item. Returned two items that I decided I didn't need, even if their total was under $3. Hey that's two cups of McD's coffee!

Unplugged my little fridge I keep in my home office. I didn't have much stored in it, figured might as well save the electric!

Finally go our doctors to write all our RX correctly---3 month supply + 3 refills, then sent them in to mail order. Although our local pharmacy will process 3-month supplies, it cost more. A 3-month supply of a maintenance drug cost $30 at the local pharmacy, while its $10 for 3 month's via mail order. Ok, that's a 30% savings total off our maintenance drugs, which is considerable for us. It was ridiculous what I had to go through to get the RX written correctly. We actually switched doctors because of that, and I let both know!

The doc would just mumble something about will write renewals, then wander off. Then, the "nurse" would come in with a bunch of RX, written for 30 days and no refills. When I protested, she'd just say oh, that's ok, just have the pharmacy call for refills. Ummmm....look, that might be ok on their end, but it cost us for each refill, not to mention the extra savings if I could utilize the mail order in an optimal manner. I finally told them they had to work with me and my benefits or they weren't worth the extra hassle.......it still costs quite a bit for RX as it is, why make it worse than it has to be?

I'm looking forward to the New Year with a considerable drop in RX costs!
