My weeping willow has leaves on it already, and my daffodils started blooming on President's Day. My neighbor's flowering quince is blooming, and mine has buds and leaves and is about to bloom. Of course my crocuses are up (the yellow ones - the purple ones are always later), and my Jane's magnolia is fully budded out, as are the rhododendrons and the azaleas. The heathers have been in bloom for several weeks already, and will probably end earlier than normal due to the early warmth.

We had a week of snow and freezing, followed by two weeks of 40s, and some of our plants are confused too. I noticed sprouts 3-4" high on the Mums, buds sprouting on the roses and the Hydrangeas yesterday. This morning it was down to 32, with snow or a wintery mix expected the next few days, hopefully not enough to cause damage.
Had to go to town today for a doctor's appointment, and went to Home Depot afterwards. The road leading to the store is planted with the same kind of flowering tree, all of which were in full bloom! I'm not sure what kind of tree they are, but they bloom with a small, fluffy pink flower. I have never seen blooming this early ever!
We are right on time here, but if you are northern, i can see why you would be concerned. I guess we just need to hope that the mild winter continues and you dont get a hard freeze before spring.

Probably some kind of cherry, or blackthorn. Is the bark shiny and ringed?
I'm in DC burb's. Noticed this morning sheets of pollen coming off of the evergreens now. That usually happens in April here. So much pollen that I initially thought there was a brush fire while on my way into work today. I also noticed several trees starting to bud around Dulles Airport last night.
I have a bad feeling about this... We've had some of our most notable snow storms around in during the month of March before.
Full bloom: Red maple, bradford pear (yuck), daffodils, rabbiteye blueberries, forsythia
Leafed out: wineberry, boysenberry, winged elm
Budding: poplar, raspberry, cottonwood, other elms, silver maple
I also left some pomegranates and figs in my storage shed to protect them from the cold. I guess its about 20 degrees warmer in there. The pomegranates have leafed out and the figs have brebas on them.
