Got out before the heat and harvested some goodies-

4 heads of cabbage for sauerkraut, a bucket of kale, first harvest of green beans, beets and carrots.

Corn is coming along. Should have some ready next week..... Right when we are on vacation, lol.

The sucker growth was what concerned me. However it looks like it didn't impact the main ear development.

Just WOW! Looks like the entrance to a farmers market or a farm. Awesome display and harvest!

Making some sauerkraut! Got a new water seal crock this year. While I worked on these cabbages with my handy dandy all purpose food processer, my wife cut and brought in 3 more cabbage heads.. 16lbs of sauerkraut in that crock.

Add water to the lip, put the lid on and wait a few weeks.

Thanks! I guess the flip side to unpleasant heat is the garden thrived.
These carrots and beets are terrific. We've roasted quite a bit so far.

AS expected- some of the corn came in while we were gone for a week. My neighbor pulled about a dozen and there is a lot more to come off.

Lunch today-

It's good too!! Really sweet this year.

Took off about 2 dozen today. Again using my handy-dandy food processor getting them cleaned up and cut into meal sizes. Blanching then freezing most on the cob this year.

We'll be roasting some roots tomorrow. Pulled off some more corn, got 3 more heads of cabbage to pull, pulled off a half basket of beans, BUT no tomatoes yet.. They're not ripening as we'd hoped during our hot spell. Potatoes look good- waiting on them to die back before harvesting. Same with onions.

Your harvests look so professional! and so much! One day I'd love to see how you freeze and store them all.

The corn looks amazing! I wanna eat my screen
