What (if any) are the states that boarder your home state that you've never stepped foot in? For the sake of discussion, we'll consider crossing a state line visiting. I live in Illinois and I've never been to Missouri. I hadn't been to Iowa until recently. Even then I didn't actually go anywhere in Iowa. I missed the exit and accidentally crossed the Mississippi into Iowa. I've been to/driven through Kentucky three times. Been to Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan numerous times. Are there any other people who've never been to a neighboring state or am I just weird?

I left Alaska and Hawaii out because they're not a part of the contiguous US.

I realize I spelled Maryland wrong in the poll. Sorry, guys!

New York here.

Never been to Vermont or Massachusetts. I'm not really sure why I've never been to Boston TBH. It's a really easy bus ride to make. As soon as the legal weed stores open in Massachusetts though I'll definitely have to make a visit!

Edit: and if I include Canadian provinces that border New York, then I've never been to Quebec either.

I've been to all of them. Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona. Haven't been to Mexico, though.

Minnesota - never been to N Dakota. No reason to drive through it. Nothing there for me to visit.

From PA. I've been to all adjacent states (OH, NY, DE, MD, WV) except New Jersey. In fact, I've been to NYC but not New Jersey.

Missouri is one of the only two states I believe that border 8 other states and I've been to all of them. Kansas I go to all the time since it's so close but I've also been to Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

I live in Rhode Island and probably every single person in Rhode Island has been to both our bordering states: Massachusetts and Connecticut.

I'm originally from New York and I've been to all its bordering states: Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, plus the two Canadian provinces, Ontario and Quebec.

I went to college in Illinois and I've been to all its bordering states: Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and Kentucky (though Kentucky was kind of on a technicality, just to use the Cincinnati airport).

But! I lived in California for three whole months, and while I've been to Arizona and Nevada, I have never been to Oregon! So there's your answer: Oregon.

Fun fact, Rhode Island and New York also border each other.

As for me, I been to all of New York's neighbors at one time or another - New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ontario, Quebec, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. In the case of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut, I have been there numerous times.
