Am I the only one who's tired of posters like "canovas" getting on here and posting a viewpoint that is supposedly from Europe in an American dialect?

@fred: I think you need to read your own declaration of independence before you affirm things like that -- yes, democratic governments make those rights applicable, but what the state gives it can also take away. That's why the founders of your country were Christians and believed rights came from God.

Creeksitter:

If you don't like what I have to say or feel tired, then don't read it. I am from Spain although I have lived in the US for a very long time and am bilingual -- perhaps you should take up the study of a different language, you might even learn something worthwhile.

I would think anywhere outside major cities, except in New England.

Down here we're fine with that declaration....keep thinking that because we don't want folks like you Yankifying our state.

Florida is pretty bad for liberals outside of South Florida, Orlando and Tampa.

Southwest Florida, Interior Florida and the Panhandle are all very conservative.

Trust me.... I drove through a little town, and there was a party and barbeque in downtown the day after the election to celebrate the passage of Amendment 2. It passed with about 90% of the vote in that county.

It doesn't really matter what state you are in, if you are far removed from a big city, then it isn't going to be liberal friendly. There are a few exceptions to this, but not many. Utah, Alabama, and Oklahoma would be the worst in my opinion.

No, you're not. But I guess it's up to the mods to do something about it.
