Well, I just thought you all might appreciate my last hour's experience and what I learned from it.
Small town, very rural, nice folks, beautiful vistas, lots of good outdoors = and I should have moved here 14 years ago when I could have appreciated it. Fourteen years ago I wanted to work on the Pueblo; today I went over to get something. The property over there is just breathtaking and the folks were doing fine today!
So, the moral of the story for me is perhaps there is a time for rural, another for suburban (or ex-burbs) and yet another for urban.
You've got to be in a certain mind-set wherever you live and I just think I'm too old for driving miles and miles to find a quart of milk.
Another lesson learned!
Do it when you dream about it; don't just dream about it!

I grew up in a "quaint" little New England town where virtualy eceryone was white. My high school had less than 10 minorities out of 800 kids. The town was virtually crime free. While I appreciate this so-called "healthy" environment, I felt very sheltered. When they wanted to build a CVS in the middle of town, everyone was in an uproar because it would "disturb the town's character." Gimme a break!!!! I have since moved to a diverse, major city of over 1 million people. I love my life because I am getting more of an education just living life than I had all of those formal years of schooling. Oh, yes, and there's plenty of things to do all the time without everyone gossiping! URBAN all the way!
