on Long Island. I lived there for 20 years and only moved to Florida 2 years ago. Changed that much in 2 years?????? Upstate? Way too RURAL to have a church in a shopping mall. Too much LAND available to have to do that.
Is Jersey that different? I never saw one in a shopping mall in Jersey either.
This isn't the SOUTH.
St Michaels Catholic Church in The Bronx has been in the shopping center there for over 40 years.
Th Synagogue is right around the corner in the same shopping center.

Uhhh, no...I work in the Bronx and have never seen such a thing. Post a picture, I don't really believe you by hearing what you have to say. And you're trying to prove my mom wrong when she grew up in Manhattan along with having close family members living there.

That isn't a shopping mall, lol. That's a church on a street. I don't see a parking lot to the church and stores surrounding it, with a big sign that displays the stores in that one "shopping mall"

Here is a link to a book about The Bronx. Pay attention in the second paragraph where it says a parish center opened in 1970 in Co-Op Citys main shopping center.
He said MALL. Those are not MALLS. If you want to SPLIT hairs, you can even say that St. Pat's in Manhattan is in a "mall" because it is surrounded by stores.
Some people like to stretch the truth. Which came first? The chicken (church) or the egg (stores)?
