I don't take too much stock in the projections due to the major shakeups in migration patterns right now. Wait a couple of years and see what happens will give us a better predictor.
Also another wild card in numbers would be that it assumes that no extra counties will be added to either an MSA or CSA.
I thought Chicago city proper increased population from 1990 to 2000 was due to a slight increase in area...like they included O'Hare within the city proper and few neighborhoods around there? Idk lecture me
Chicago hasn't added any land area lately. O'Hare has been part of the city limits for a long time. The census bureau was just way off with their estimates.
Well Philly is already at the 2020 projection and is likely adding counties back to the MSA that in total already have a million additional people, so no this projection is not accurate

They were almost spot on for Houston and ATL's numbers.
I am shocked that they are not predicting Phoenix to pass Philly for another 15 years.
you need to watch out for ATl in 5 years, Miami in ten and then out of the top 10 poor philly goes

Again guess you like to play it both ways for convieniance. Also those numbers do not include Mercer, Berks, Atlantic, Cumberland, or Kent counties which all if not in 2010 will be in the MSA by 2020 that collectively have over a million residents today.

just over 6M is the 2015 projection, they are not at the 2025 projection yet, slow your horses down buddy
ps, you all are NEVER getting those counties added to your metro. We will have 3 metros added to our metro (Beaumont /port arthur, Victoria, College Station/Bryan) before that ever happens
