The denial by some is pathetic & makes me wonder if they ever get out of their cocoons. Check almost all threads where the issue is either the South or racism & the reaction isn't very positive. For anyone to suggest that racism in America was uniformly identical across the nation is laughable & once again an attempt to underplay how much the South was ravaged by racism. When Americans think racism the South is the first place that comes to mind. And that isn't some Hollywood movie!

If you know anything about the history of the south or anything relevant to the south. You'd know the confederate flag is a representation of the south; not the KKK and white supremacist groups.

Well it justs show you and along with the rest of those Americans who truly believe that are misinformed. Us minorities don't live in fear of the white men and they don't live in fear of us. It's quite sad how lots of outsiders really think they know what the hell is going on down here. Just stay away and keep your statements to yourself, because you have little knowledge about the south.

California Sur, what makes any given Californian any less racist than any given Mississipian? Are we only taking into account white on black or are we including all forms of racism?
