According to the info on the Sec of State's website, Abrams needs to make up a 35K gap to force a runoff, but the AJC is reporting that the gap is only about 15K.

I don't know which figure is right, but if it's closer to 15K then I'd be confident in predicting that a runoff would occur. The irregularities in counting the vote in Abrams' core counties have been widespread and focused mainly on her block of voters.

I think 35K would be a very difficult gap to make up.

Another thing I thought about is that the runoff is supposed to take place December 4, only about three weeks away, but we seem to be days away from having the vote itself certified. What if Sec Kemp certifies the vote proclaiming Candidate Kemp the winner, but Candidate Abrams objects?? This could be a real mess.

You now have Georgia Democrats calling for Abrams to concede by 5:00 today.

35K or so absentee ballots that haven't been counted will drop him below 50%. For that to happen, over 32,000 of those votes have to be for somebody besides him. It's over.

Actually Abrams has to make up 13,788 votes according to the Sec of State's website.

Nobody on the GOP side ever governs in such fashion. Look at the Trash Dump in DC, it doesn't do that so do not expect this from Kemp. I'm awaiting for the Religious Freedom Act to be pushed again...just watch.

That doesn’t seem correct to me. She trails by 64-65K. I can’t see how a trail of 48-50K puts him under 50%. That’s a pretty darn big margin

He's not about to let Kemp's irresponsible demagoguery and dopey ideas about taking Georgia retrograde blow all that effort into pieces. I'd bet dollars to donuts that Cousin Jethro has already been taken to the woodshed by Deal over this, and that Deal has let him know that he would come out against him publicly if he makes good on his vow to sign the Religious Freedom Bill or anything else that might send the wrong message to the business community.

Zealots like Kemp care about God more than business.

I am wary of what Kemp may do, but I think Governor Deal did a very good job of putting what was best for Georgia ahead of ideology, and I believe that Stacey Abrams has said as much.

I didn’t vote because my absentee ballot wasn’t delivered on time even though I sent the application to Fulton County on October 23. I’m really disappointed in our election system.

Is there a reason why you didn't try and go to the polling place to vote?
