I'm genuinely curious. They're legal professions. Many jobs are so low paid and porn is a way for people (especially women,) to make a lot of money much easier than slaving away doing low paid work or getting into excessive amounts of student loan debt, with no guarantee of a payoff at the end. We tell people to work hard, support themselves, don't depend on others, don't depend on welfare, avoid debt, etc. . . So what's wrong with them really?
Prostitutes & pimps have rarely been held in high regard throughout history.
Then again, sex workers should not be labeled as criminals and should be treated like any normal person. However, they should expect rejection from much of society, and think about how their profession might affect relationships with potential spouses and future children.
Porn stars/ strippers they walk a fine line often in a dangerous world of drugs and people that would exploit them and then throw them away.
For some they can get in and make a pile of money and then get out relatively unscathed but for most they get chewed up and spit out. There is nothing sadder than an aging stripper working the Tuesday afternoon stage because that is all she knows.
Of course times are changing with the likes of Stormy Daniels being front page news and Kim Kerdashian blowing up the internet with naked photos of herself so maybe making a career out of using your body to make money will become more accepted?
I say to each their own but if I had a daughter I would not want her to be part of that world no matter how much money she made.
Simple. In our culture sex is private. Strippers and pornstar take an intimate and private subject and make it for public consumption, hence the negative reaction of these professions.
There are many actors and singers who do basically the same thing - sell their body. Many singers do basically, a burlesque show on stage wearing practically nothing and there are many actresses (and actors, probably) who slept their way to the top.

That is a good question.
I think in part because our society has always conditioned us to see sex and nudity as sinful at worst, shameful at least. Perhaps it stems from religion. In addition to women (or men) just being nude or sexual their nudity and willingness to engage in sex temps men and causes them to sin in the eyes of God. That is ridiculous but I believe deep rooted in many. Perhaps that nudity and sexuality arouse us. Those feelings we cant control may anger us or make us feel some negativity about ourselves and we project that onto the thing that causes those feelings of arousal.
As in ... people who *choose* that kind of work ... have issues. Sad.
