My guess is no more than 20 minutes or so from Easley to downtown. It's a straight shot down US 123 (which turns into Academy Street, a main artery through downtown).

It depends on what section of easley you are coming from. I would say 20 minutes. I can go 85 or 123 in about 20.

It will be a Super Walmart and replace the one that is currently on the other side of Easley.

thanks I figured you would know, I was gonna pm you but I thought others might have the same question.

Bummer for the old Walmart plaza over there, wonder what will go in its place?

Kinda glad they are putting in a new one though, that old one is a bit run down, I just bought a home in Easley and I stopped there the other day, I was unimpressed...

A little bird told me today that the whole right hand side of this property is contaminated and that Wal-mart is shopping other locations as a result. The type of chemical is such that they are not even allowed to remove it from the site. What say you, G-man430?

If that is correct that is a bummer. There are a lot of us out here in the boonies that use the walmart for quick pick up items. I know the other one will be only 10 more minutes away but it was nice so close.

Ten more minutes? We're only talking about a few miles down US 123, right?

yeah its not far at all(5 maybe 7 minutes at most), and I actually was very disappointed to find that the walmart in easley was not "super". Groceries are in general much cheaper at super walmart than most of the local grocers around here, I try to shop local, but its hard in this economy.
