It's true about the shelf facings. They have smaller inventory, with lots of shelves to fill.
And true about the Customer Service area, very tight...
The whole wide open area by the garden shop is very odd and a waste. Most of it is clearance junk. They need to reduce drasticallyand purge there clearance stuff more quickly like Target does. I have seen things in there from last Halloween.
Walgreens has already come and Walmart is going on the site that was rumored for Target at one time.
Yet another Walmart? What a waste...
I'd much rather have a Target build. There's only 5 Target stores in the upstate (Anderson, Simpsonville, Greenville, Greer, Spartanburg) yet there's already about 15 Walmart Supercenters in the upstate.

I've had to do a few merch visits in there and that whole back wall and side wall are disgusting. You are right about old stuff in there. Nobody clears that out. (And this is a BRAND NEW store).
I do the "As Seen on TV" wall from time to time and it's always tore up pretty bad, I fix it and then they wreck again....
Anybody know anything more about development in Powdersville?
I've heard rumors of a Chik-Fil-A next to CVS?
I've also heard rumors of a Quiktrip on the parcel next to that one?
I've heard rumors that Ingles will build a new store at the same location of the existing one - filling in that whole shopping center and adding a gas station?

Any news for the parcel behind Walgreens?
The Ingles is happening, I guess Chik-Fil-A is in a dispute with the landlord, assuming eventually that will be resolved eventually. QT I did not hear about moving there. The land they had purchased on 153 is for sale by them so I guess they could be building elsewhere on 153.

Right, Ingle's will be building a completely new store on the site of both former and current stores.

I heard QT is selling the other piece of land because it is difficult to get access to turn left out of a business there to get back to the interstate.
I really would like to see frontage roads extended up and down both sides of SC153 with all the cuts across the median eliminated. That way you would take the frontage road back up to the next light to make a left turn. It would improve the flow of traffic and reduce wrecks. There are already partial frontage roads along that stretch. Traffic volumes on SC 153 are only going to increase over time. If nothing is done, it will quickly become another US 123 in Easley / Clemson Boulevard in Anderson / Woodruff Road in Greenville kind of problem.
