cyn.....hopefully your hand has continued to improve. That was a scare! Poor you and poor kitty......I am sure it felt insecure and as if it needed to grab on to something. Too bad that it was you!

Take heart, my dog bit me one time (my fault I was trimming him & got too close to his privates. He was only protecting himself). Anyway, my hand swelled up but the antibiotics they gave me cleared it up quickly. I am surprised they are testing your cat. As long as it is up in shots there should not be a problem I would think.

Take care & remember, this too shall pass.

I am fine. The swelling is going down now. Still bruised. It was my fault..the top shelf in the show cage is a little loose so the cat felt he was falling and grabbed for the first thing---me! It was his back claw so it went in deep. There are few scratches actually. And MEO, you are correct--the urgent care sent a message with wrong information..they said the cat bit me. If it had been a bite they do quarantine them but not for scratches. I was very clear to animal control this cat scratched me and it was my fault. These cats are all up on their shots so there was no problem. Animals are animals and they react to protect themselves.
Yesterday was just difficult day for me...I decided to get my legal papers all together and in a safe place but couldn't find my birth cert or my will and the deed on my house. When I did all of that legal work it was right after my D/H passed away and I was in a fog. So yesterday I spent half the day tearing this house apart trying to find everything. Finally found them in totally different places in envelopes with the wrong info on the front. But now they are all together and safe. Then I got called into work last night for a couple of hours. Sure didn't want to go since sleep was difficult the night before with my hand but needed to make the money so I went in. I only stayed a few hours. Today is a new day and thank you all for your concern. Elston I am taking antibiotics..started them yesterday. Hope everyone has a blessed day!
